This is the Help and FAQ Section, that means, ill post here short tidbits of helpfullness and if you need help or to contact the webmaster, then just make a comment and ill try and help out ^_^
FAQ
Q: What the, this site is confusing, whats the point?
A: Humm, its kinda a imageboard, so expect to see images and links and downloads, hopefully all around anime and hentai.
Q: How do i upload a image?
A: Register, then go to the first page, there above the text box you will see this: “Upload/Insert” just press on the icon and follow the instructions, in the end it will output the image code on the board, and then you can write some text or not and put some tags or not and then press “Post It”, if your image shows up then success ^_^
Q: What is the difference between status update and blog post?
A: The status update the title is a number, the blog post you can put your own title.
Q: To post a link do i need to press the link button?
A: No just post the full link and it will work on any post, the link button is just for a link and nothing else ^_^.
Q: How do i change my avatar?
A: You will have a link to it on the first page “Change Your Avatar”, the avatars on 4kun are hosted on gravatar.com, so if you want a custom avatar you will have to register there.
Q: What do you mean approved filehosts and why some of them have affiliate links?
A: Well approved filehosts, means you can only use these filehosts on 4kun, the reason is just try and have reliable and good quality filehosts, now the affiliate links, that just means if you do click on a link from some of the hosts on 4kun sidebar and do make an account with the filehosts, that i might get a small fee or percentage, its a win win, but you are not required in any way to use those links, just put the name on google and you’ll get there as well ^_^.
Q: This is not anonymous, i have to register to post? this sucks, you suck!
A: Just cause its different doesn’t mean it sucks ^_^ and you can always use a fake e-mail to register a account, as well as i dont store ip’s for a long time or track significantly users (only for stats), the reason for accounts is 2 fold:
- Its a really effective way to fight off spam
- User account means you can get real credit and control over your posts
- Increases the quality of the material on the site
Q: My post is gone!
A: Well just cause its a different kind of imageboard, doesn’t mean its a free for all, post good stuff and it will stay forever, post bad stuff and it will probably get deleted.
Q: My user account is gone!
A: 99.9% of the reason is because you did something realllly bad, like posting cp or real life pictures or spamming, cause most of the times we delete posts not user accounts.
Q: What are the rules?
A: They are on the sidebar, basically, be good, post good and cute stuff, post anime, hentai or japan related stuff (yes cute japanese girls is a must >_<) and don’t spam!

yep search works, but giving the type of content here, i really need to tune it up, cause for now it only searches text, and it needs to search at least tags and titles as well, more advance features like image search only way into the future hehehe
and yes there isn’t a profile yet, but its on the drawing board, or at least a leader board, not too sure, what is more useful ^_^ .oO(or both)

Update ^_^ Improved the author profile to add more information, also the user sidebar widget and added trust rank, it goes from 1 to 10, being 1… not so trusty or unknown person and 10 being an admin ^_^ ill increase rank with time and quality posts hehehe

imageboards normally don’t have preview buttons >_< but ill think about it hehehe, and 4kun has oembed, so for most popular picture and video hosts, you only need to put the url and it will show the embed when you publish ^_^

here on 4kun we accept it all, but please note, that although most loli is fine, we kinda want to stay away from the most brutal and disgusting stuff, just to keep the site fresh/clean and user friendly, so no extreme hentai, like todlercon, guro, abuse, rape and stuff like that, like the rules on the sidebar say: “post good and cute stuff”! ^_^
